LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER
SPECIALIZING IN INDIVIDUALS AGES 4 AND OLDER
Self-Introduction
Human brain development has always sparked my interest. I find myself thinking about an early childhood memory of teaching and instructing my younger siblings as I pretended to be their “school teacher.” A seed of curiosity, enjoyment, and passion for helping the ones I cared about was sown. A desire to see them all flourish and grow. Later in life, I found myself on a journey to fulfill this memory having recalled since childhood. I graduated from Aurora University with a Master of Social Work in 2016. In 2021, I became an Illinois Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am an experienced social worker; honed by ten years of practice within diverse populations, such as: homelessness, geriatrics, foster care, and adoption.
Therapeutic approach:
A phrase foundational to my practice is “meeting the client where they are at”. A person-centered therapeutic approach complimented by other modalities is focus to every session. This approach, coupled with Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Brainspotting, EMDR, Sand-Tray, and other Play Therapy techniques has proven very effective for past and present clients. I provide individual and family therapy, working with a wide range of ages from children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. I offer therapy for depression, anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, attachment, parenting guidance, relational struggles, and many more mental health subjects. I have special interest in working with children in foster care, adoption, loss, and attachment.
