About Briana

I have my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Adler University and I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor. I decided to pursue a career in counseling when I was 12 years old. As a child of divorce, my parents decided to sign me up for therapy. I was struggling with all the adults in my life constantly pushing me to talk about my feelings but all I wanted was peace. That is what I found in therapy. I am passionate about creating that safe space for others. I have been licensed for over 10 years and have experience working in psychiatric hospital inpatient units as well as private practice. I have worked with individuals, groups, and taught parenting skills education classes.

I specialize in LGBTQIA, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I focus on a holistic view which includes mental health, physical health, diet, sleep, etc. I do not focus on the labels and diagnoses but instead on the individual. I strive to find “skills over pills” solutions for those who are starting their mental health journey. I currently work with teens and adults in an individual setting both in person and telehealth so I can work with any Illinois resident. Each person has a unique story, and no two people can be treated exactly
the same. Every person has struggled with something in their lives but
not everyone is brave enough to ask for help. I am here to guide you on
your journey to better mental health.
